The company was formerly known as Acology, Inc. and changed its name to Medtainer, Inc. in October 2018. Medtainer, Inc. was incorporated in 1997 and is based in Corona, California.

It is water-proof, smell-proof, leech-resistant and comes with a built-in grinder.  The Company is also ASTM compliant for child safety. In fact, the Company has taken child safety to another level. The MedTainer has earned a Safety Certificate from the prestigious international company Child Related Research in Murray Utah. Each MedTainer fulfills the criteria set forth in the Consumer Product Safety Commission Report 16, CFR Part 1700.20 In addition to child-safety issues, especially in terms of the cannabis market, each MedTainer qualifies as a compliant packaging and pre-packaging solution. It fulfills the requirements set down by Health Canada for cannabis packaging and retail sales. It is the only plastic container/grinder that fulfills this stringent set of rules.
