Charles is an executive, entrepreneur and investor with experience in cannabis, vertical farming, direct response marketing, media, telecommunications, network infrastructure, finTech and AdTech. At the age of 16, Charles got his first job cleaning toilets at the local health club. Charles first became acquainted with technology and the Internet at Infonautics Corporation (NASDAQ: INFO) after realizing that computer programming in Perl and other Web languages paid better than manual labor. While trying to figure out a better way to play video games, Charles learned about wireless broadband and during his 3rd year in college, started down a path that in 18 months would become a $3 million / year business. Along the way, Charles partnered with a seasoned business executive and organically bootstrapped Convergence Technologies Inc into a $20 million technology infrastructure company that achieved over 1,000% revenue growth over a three year period was recognized as one of the fastest growing privately held companies by INC Magazine in 2007.
In 2008, Charles launched IPpay, a payment technology platform and in less than 3 years, organically boot-strapped the business to over $1 Billion in payment processing volume. In 2011, Charles obtained over $50 million in financing through the US Department of Agriculture and negotiated the first non-traditional competitive-carrier spectrum lease and 4G LTE roaming agreement with Verizon to build-out underserved markets throughout Illinois and Indiana. In 2011, Charles became one of the founding investors of PodPonics, a vertical farming technology company. In 2013, Charles decided to reboot his career and start fresh in consumer digital media. By 2014, Charles had cornered the online market for Cat memes and Disney princess quizzes by developing viral traffic strategies responsible for generating over 100 million monthly unique visitors. By 2015, this concept called “native commerce” had been implemented in a manner that has generated in excess of $50 million in online direct response consumer sales across multiple verticals and niches. In 2015, Charles became involved in transitioning PodPonics into a tech enabled vertical farming solution provider. After the successful deployment of this technology in the middle east and the culmination of a 9 month collaboration with the largest North American grower and processor of Organic Packaged Salad Mix, Charles launched Nexem in 2016 to adapt and commercialize this technology for indoor cannabis cultivation. Since then, the 25+ members of the Nexem team have become industry leaders in the design, consulting, build and implementation of High Tech Indoor Cannabis Cultivation Facilities across North America. Charles is also involved with social justice, advocacy and minority empowerment in the Cannabis industry. Jeff Ullman, CEO, GoodFOR
Jeff Ullman is a multiple serial entrepreneur. Most experts declare entrepreneurs should not admit their defeats but as a life-long entrepreneur I've had a challenging life making lives healthier, wealthier & happier. Changing consumer behavior can be punishing: I know the thrill of ascending unclimbed mountains (making million$ for myself & partners) along with the humility in falling from grace (with grace): Entrepreneur vs. EntreMANURE.
In 1976 I created my first breakthrough socially responsible company, Great Expectations Video Dating and helped 100,000+ couples marry. In the '80's & '90s co-created 2400+ hours of TV series: Love Connection (12 seasons); TailDaters (4 seasons); Authored: The Singles Almanac; 12 Secrets for Helping Find Love & Commitment; The Lost Love Life of the Workaholic. I loved helping change romance for the ages. Yet it wasn't long ago when people scoffed at 'losers'; singles who chose a new route to happiness by opting for modern search tools like video dating. Critics cried: "No one will pay to find love!" (Yet I was the first to prove it untrue & exited quite successfully) My wife Cindy & I created Twoology.com to help couples stay happily together by remembering their Relationship ABCs: Always Be Courting. (Another successful exit) I've raised million$ for charities; am a non-monotonous monogamist & a devoted dad. In 2013 I quietly entered the medical cannabis industry helping match people with information that was good for them. In 2015 I created the YPO (Young Presidents Organization) Cannabis Industry Wealth & Health Group. In 2016 I dived deeply into pharmacogenetic testing to save my wife's life from Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer: found the right researchers, clinicians & cannabis. She's healthy! In 2018 my wife, Cindy Ullman, and I created GoodFOR® and invite you to exceed your expectations by finding the wellness products which can be good for you and your loved ones. About GoodFOR GoodFOR’s breakthrough pain products are superior to any other pain topical. They work to relieve aches and pains in seconds, last longer, and are far less expensive. They are so extraordinarily good for pain relief of all kinds that the company guarantees their effectiveness, or double your money back. As good for health as they are, they are even better for investors who recognize the wealth value. The Company’s global trademarks make it extremely attractive to sell to a buyer with healthcare, beauty, performance, and an infinite array of consumer products and services
